Federal managers can submit for reimbursement each year, with reimbursements issued through each Department’s automated personnel/payroll system, the National Finance Center (NFC) or through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Reimbursement eligibility is determined by the agency and reimbursement amounts may differ. The federal government decided to provide reimbursement for managers, supervisors, and law enforcement officers because these positions come with incredibly high levels of responsibility and accountability.
