NAAUSA - Concerns on Budget Legislation, Federal Employee Pay and Benefits Cuts
On behalf of the National Association of Assistant United States Attorneys (NAAUSA), representing the interests of over 6,000 federal criminal and civil prosecutors working in the nation’s 94 U.S. Attorney Offices, I write to express the association’s concerns about the budget provisions calling for over $50 billion in cuts to the earned pay and benefits of the federal workforce, including AUSAs.
NAAUSA calls on members of the committee and the Congress to reject these cuts – federal prosecutors and federal employees are not the source of, nor the solution for, the government’s debt and deficit.
